Description
Purpose and application
The TOUCH DIM RMC radio remote control enables the
wireless control of two TOUCH DIM RC radio receivers, each
with two channels. Up to four connected luminaire groups, each
with up to 15 electronic control gears
featuring the TOUCH DIM
®
function, can be independently operated.
Function
The TOUCH DIM RMC radio remote control sends radio signals
to the radio receiver, which converts these and transmits them
to the connected electronic control gears.
The radio remote control does not require batteries and is abso-
lutely maintenance-free. The necessary transmission energy is
generated by an integrated inductive energy converter when the
pushbutton is pressed.
Design
The radio remote control is made up of the following compo-
nents:
• Button 1: pushbutton for luminaire group (A) connected to
Ch1oftherstradioreceiver
• Button 2: pushbutton for luminaire group (B) connected to
Ch2oftherstradioreceiver
• Button 3: pushbutton for luminaire group (C) connected to
Ch 1 of the second radio receiver
• Button 4: pushbutton for luminaire group (D) connected to
Ch 2 of the second radio receiver
Operation
Functionality
The radio remote control can be used to operate two TOUCH
DIM RC radio receivers (E).
The radio control system of each radio receiver consists of two
channels (Ch 1 und Ch 2). The luminaire groups connected to
outputs „Ch 1“ and „Ch 2“ of the radio receivers can be inde-
pendently operated with the radio remote control:
First radio receiver:
• Luminaire group on channel 1: button 1
• Luminaire group on channel 2: button 2
Second radio receiver:
• Luminaire group on channel 1: button 3
• Luminaire group on channel 2: button 4
Basically, the transmitters can be used to operate all TOUCH
DIM/TOUCH DIM sensor functions of OSRAM electronic control
gear.
The radio remote controls must be trained in the radio receiver.
Note:
To train the radio remote controls, see the separate instructions
of the TOUCH DIM RC radio receiver.
The radio transmission range between the radio remote control
andradioreceiverisinuencedbythefollowingfactors:
• Construction materials
• Type and number of obstacles between the transmitter and
receiver
• Sourcesofinterferenceandsignalreections
Switching on and off the luminaires
Via short press.
• Button1:luminairegrouponchannel1oftherstradio
receiver
• Button2:luminairegrouponchannel2oftherstradio
receiver
• Button 3: luminaire group on channel 1 of the second radio
receiver
• Button 4: luminaire group on channel 2 of the second radio
receiver
Changing the brightness
Via long press.
• Button1:luminairegrouponchannel1oftherstradio
receiver
• Button2:luminairegrouponchannel2oftherstradio
receiver
• Button 3: luminaire group on channel 1 of the second radio
receiver
• Button 4: luminaire group on channel 2 of the second radio
receiver
Each repeated long key button press causes a toggle between
increased brightness and decreased brightness.
